152 BPM

Today was a big day for us. We had a doctors appointment and the check up went very well. We were in fact able to hear our baby's heart beat. It was 152 bpm and just thumping away like nobody's business. The sound replays repeatedly in my mind. Of course to attempt to type it would be impossible... trust me I tried several times, it does not convey. Such an amazing miracle that only after ten weeks so much has formed and now our baby is now only worrying about the little things like fingernails and what size a nose to grow
Kayt and I were on a special high today as it sunk in, yet another level, that we are going to be parents. The feelings of pride, love and respect for each other, as well as for this little baby, grows daily.
Hope you are all well.
Proudest father-to-be in the world

16 weeks

Time has flown by yet again. Though winter is STILL here in Alberta we are gearing up for spring and summer. At 16 weeks our baby is waving hello Our first view of our little one was quite awesome. We even got to see in three D!
He/ she.. No We Still DO NOT know the sex of the baby and thought we both have our feelings (GIRL being mine while Kayt is on the boy's team) we still are unsure as to whether or not to find out. I wouldn't mind polling you guys to see if we should find out or not. Pros and cons please.
Anyway, he/she was moving around like crazy. The kid is going to be an active one.It was amazing to see how much movement is in there when we in the outside world are oblivious to all that is going on. We take for granted the simple things like yawning, stretching up to the more complicated actions of an athlete in training. Kayt's organs will soon be the target of our little Muay Thai fighter who is training for the up coming fight of his/her life. The best part is I will have a front row seat. Sorry it will not be available on PPV. Up date as to his her training progress to come.
We go for the actual medical one next week but so far everything looks great. Kayt's belly is growing rapidly and I think she is glowing! Definitely the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen. Although sometimes she may not agree :) All in all I am so excited to meet this little one.
