Apparently inquiring minds do want to know. Alas we have no answers. This is for two reasons. Firstly our child is already being difficult! We could not get a good picture as the arms and legs were always in the way of the face. Even in 4D the best was an ear. Either he or she will be a gymnast or we are having a large pretzel. In fact it was so bad that we were invited back to redo the ultra sound.
Funny thing though we had come to the conclusion that we were not going to find out the sex. Then Kayt got a thought and asked the technician if she knew the sex? She replied that if the parents don't want to know then she doesn't find out either. So, Kayt asked her if she would find out and write it on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope so if we caved later we could find out. We closed our eyes and I even blocked Kayt's eyes with my hands. Well now our baby decides to do yoga and the legs folded up right under him or her and the technician said it was impossible to find out.
So now you have the long and the short that truly we do not know what we are having. I venture to say that now that we have gone this long we are probably going to go the distance and not find out... Sorry to the yessers but No wins.
Maybe 'No' wins for now thanks to a very flexible kid!! . . . but we'll see if that's still the case when your babe isn't doing gymnastics and the technician can tell you the sex of the baby . . . if you so choose of course ;-)
ReplyDeleteYeah... Surprise is good!
ReplyDeleteStefan and Kayt,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. We didn't know the sex of the first 2 but learned that #3 would be a boy. In fact, Heather, no.2, was so active in Rachel's womb that we thought she was a boy. It turned out to be an omen. She was anxious to come out and join the world. Rachel's labor time was about 1 1/2 hrs from beginning to birth. We almost didn't make it to the hospital. For quite awhile she was incredibly active stopping only stopping to go to sleep.
It's an exciting time. Enjoy it as much as you can. The phases of life pass inexorably quick enough as it is. Just enjoy each phase for what it is and get ready to enjoy the new phase in some other way. Otherwise you'll regret the passing instead of enjoying it.
I hope everything is going well with jobs and the like.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you and your burgeoning family.
